FYB Logo & Packaging

OBJECTIVE:

Give the logo a refresh, create a set of labels for the new overnight oats products that’s shelf ready, as well as a discount card and other branding for Fuel Your Body.

OUTCOME:

This was a super fun project for me as I had creative freedom to make a fun new set of labels and recreate the creative identity for Fuel Your Body.


PROJECT

Real Estate Magazines

OBJECTIVE:

Design a magazine style spread for different properties around PEI for Anthony Delodder/ Royal Lepage Realty.

OUTCOME:

These magazines are to help potential clients get a better feel for the property they are viewing. With listing descriptions and bright photography these are a key item to have on hand when showing a property to give that extra “wow” factor.

PROJECT

Conference Design 

OBJECTIVE:

Create a design targeted to artists on Prince Edward Island with a focus on Creative Well Being and Mental Health.

OUTCOME:

For this project my client wanted to use a warm colour palette that was friendly and inviting. I designed a conference poster, digital invitation, name tags for each person attending the event, and social media ads leading up to it. My client was very happy with the results and the event was a success overall.

Election Campaign

OBJECTIVE:

My most recent project was to design election materials for Philip Brown’s campaign: This included a trifold brochure, door knockers, business cards, a vehicle wrap, lawn signs, social media ads, a letterhead design, newspaper ads and social media banners.

OUTCOME:

This project gave me a lot of great experience working with a client at a distance. This entire project was conducted through email and it sharpened my communication skills greatly. This client was very happy with the end results and the design I created was a complete success as Philip won the election and is the current mayor of Charlottetown, PE! I am very thankful to have had this experience and I would happily work for this client again in the future.

Logo / Branding

OBJECTIVE:

Interperate client design needs, as stated in your brief, and create a logo solution with brand-appropriate support applications.

OUTCOME:

This was one of my favourite projects to work on this year. My goal when updating their current logo was to make the typogrphy feel more playful and fun while still feeling professional. The pop of orange is filled with energy, just as you feel after taking a sip of The Jumping Bean’s delicious coffee!

Logo Refresh & Rebrand

OBJECTIVE:

Collaborate with April Condon to create a logo refresh for CreativePEI and update the brand identity.

OUTCOME:

This project was really fun because I was able to collaborate with my Graphic Design instructor April Condon to create a new logo and brand identity for CreativePEI, this project was a huge success!


CLIENT WORK

Logo / Branding

OBJECTIVE:

Develop a Visual Brand, Logo, and colour palette for this client’s new nutrition company. This client requested a dynamic logo using blue and black as their main brand colour.

OUTCOME:

I am very pleased with the outcome of this logo and overall brand. My goal was to create something sporty and clean while still looking professional and fun. The client loved the end result. I can’t wait to see where this brand goes in the future!

Magazine Spread

OBJECTIVE:

Creatively display information that utilized typographic hierarchy in a multipage Discover Charlottetown document.

OUTCOME:

This was a challenging project as I was presented with a lot of text and imagery to organize in a specific number of pages, I think the outcome of this project is very legible, clean and aesthetically pleasing, showing a lot of information without being overwhelming to the viewer.

Packaging

OBJECTIVE:

Create a press-ready packaging design that is visually appealing to your intended market.

OUTCOME:

This project was so much fun! I am a personal fan of Bob’s Red Mill products so a redesign to their Logo and well known granola package was right up my alley. I wanted to keep the rustic, old fashioned roots of this company present, while giving it a fresh new spin to attract more customers. The colours are crisp and clean, complimentary and fun, while the type chosen is a blend of organic and classic.

LHAA Logo

OBJECTIVE:

Design a Logo for Legal Help for Artists Atlantic  (LHAA) that reflects the Maritime provinces while also keeping a professional feel.

OUTCOME:

The lighthouse in this logo is a nod to  the Maritimes while also representing guidance for those seeking legal help.

The Good Art Talks

OBJECTIVE:

Create a poster for the Good Art Talks event.

OUTCOME: A clean design that is legible and well balanced highlighting all necessary information.

Book Cover

OBJECTIVE:

Design a book cover for Megg’s History of Graphic Design that is inspired by a piece of historic art.

OUTCOME:

This book cover is inspired by Hans Dieter Reichert’s cover for Baseline Magazine, I lov ed the way the elements in his piece were so simple and geometric while providing balance, contrast and harmony. I wanted the colour palette to a more mature verison of the primary colours, really bringing everything back to the basics of art.

Font Design

OBJECTIVE:

Sharpen your typographic eye. Set the spacing of your letters well. Develop a font that communicates effectively.

OUTCOME:

This project was my first ever attempt at creating a new font. I had a lot of fun playing around with different shapes and angles to create a consistent looking alphabet. This was very time consuming, but the end result is very unique and fun.

OBJECTIVE:

Create an interesting event poster that displays theme and tone effectively.

OUTCOME:

This was a fun project, my goal was to create a poster with an adventurous feel to create interest and catch your eye with the pop of orange against the cooler tones of the poster.


CREATIVE PEI

Social Media Ad

OBJECTIVE:

Design a social media ad to attract more artists into a new creative space Downtown Charlottetown, PE

OUTCOME:

For this project I first had to take photos of the space and then use my photography to create an attractive ad targeting creative sector workers to want to join this new work space! I think the end result is very fresh and eye catching.

Wine Label

OBJECTIVE:

Design a Wine Label and package inspired by a piece of historic art taken from Megg’s History of Graphic Design.

OUTCOME:

This piece done in my first year of Graphic Design and was inspired by Fernand Leger’s cubist painting “The City” in 1919. I wanted to create a feeling of excitement, curiosity, passion and endless possibilities that come along with city night life.. and of course, wine.

Cereal Box

OBJECTIVE:

Redesign a well known cereal box.

OUTCOME:

The goal for this design was to give froot loops a fresh new look, I wanted the colour palette to be very bright and inviting, something that would catch the attention of a child, as it is primarily a children’s cereal.

OBJECTIVE:

Show your ability to handle information in a way that gets it across in an easy and interesting manner

OUTCOME:

This project was challenging as there was so much information that needed to be sorted through. The outcome of this Event Design is strong in terms of brand consistency, target audience, logo design, and supporting elements.

Art Direction 

OBJECTIVE:

Create a concept that you can effectively communicate with your photographer, work together, then utilize the image in a design

OUTCOME:

This project was unique as it was my first time working with a photographer to help create my design. I styled this shoot and shared my vision with the photographer, creating a cover, and 2 inside spreads using only their photography.
